Farrel Fernandes is the brainchild and owner of Farrella Wedding Accessories.
She believes that every person deserves fairytale moments, in matters of the heart as well as in life.
When a young goan girl saw magic in wedding celebrations
From bridesmaid dreams to corporate cultures
As an impressionable young goan girl, Farrel always felt excited and awed by brides and bridesmaids at family weddings. The ballroom styled dresses, the colours, the delicate sashes and ribbons. She delighted when she had opportunities to be a bridesmaid. Not to be the center of attention, but to help with putting the ensemble together.
At the age of 21, Farrel moved to Kuwait, and started her career with one of the country’s largest retailer. In a moment of serendipity, she was selected for the brand BodyShop, where under the eye of a quality-driven manager, Farrel learnt about quality-driven approach to business, process and customer service. Skills that fueled her goal for the next step in her life.

Farrel will tell you that when she had her baby boy, it was not easy to play the mom role. But she was determined to make both career and motherhood work. Spending many sleepless nights, Farrel realised that life has to be more than this. That something beyond the day’s routines is necessary to keep one’s spirit alive. A fairytale she thought was possible for herself.
Farrel rekindled her passion for weddings, and started a small accessories business she ran in her free time. She balanced office, her baby and the home front, and was quite surprised when she managed to create a sizable business with the time she had. She knew in a heart that she could do more for her accessories business. She took the bold call to leave her comfortable job in Kuwait, and return back to Goa to start a new business as a wedding consultant.

Farrel envisions a wedding industry where the bridal couple can have any kind of wedding they want. The dream wedding they wish for, without breaking tradition and still pulling off a modern, magical and magnificent wedding celebration.
